Saturn is often referred to as the karmic planet, discipline and justice, looking at our personal reality, and breaks down our control issues. Saturn turning retrograde will slow down activity, so that better methods and strategies can be developed. Saturn rules the physical and psychological. It produces the rules and regulations by which we guide our lives, our sense of responsibility, and our limitations, or limitations of those around you and practice patience.
Authority maybe also be an issue at this time, and you may feel like ‘fighting the system’ be it in your family, place of work or the greater sphere of community or government. There also tends to be a lack of boundaries, so be mindful of saying YES to everything and then feeling overwhelmed and a loss of power.
At this time, it’s essential to go back, assess commitments made, relationships, responsibilities and projects started undertaken in the past. It provides the opportunity to reassess what we have taken on, to define boundaries, to finally say NO, to back out of a commitment and to improve the organization of a project. Time to process past karma.
It gives us the opportunity to go back and reorganize, or renegotiate, or commitments that seem to be a source of frustration. Don’t start any new business activity at this time! Assess what needs to change and prepare for this change once Saturn moves direct. It is a time to assess our failures, learn from our mistakes and emerge from the introspection with wisdom and understanding.
