In today’s society, there is pressure to be in a relationship if we’re single and if we’re in a relationship that we have to prove our love to each other on this day. But that’s not what I believe the spirit of Valentine’s Day to be.
Today is a day to celebrate Love. Love of yourself, love for life, for struggles, for everyone in your life, for who is IN your life as well as. If you’re single, today is a great day to celebrate your freedom and embrace even more courage to be more open, more loving and more curious about love.
There are such rich moments that come from being single. Being single gives you the opportunity to get out there and date and discover who you are, what you like, don’t’ like and what works best for you.
Don’t let today be another reminder about how you “can’t find love” – that’s coming from victim consciousness. Let today be a celebration that you are on your path of discovery.
If you’re in a relationship, today isn’t about PROVING your love to each other, but instead continuing to strip away the layers that prevent love from emerging in your relationship. There’s no need to prove your love to that special someone with some grandiose display.
Today is a day to express your love, but what is the intention behind it? Are you trying to make up for all the times you didn’t express your love in one big statement? If so – fail.
Today should set the TONE for how you treat each other EVERY DAY in your relationship. It’s wonderful to celebrate V-Day, but you don’t have to have only one day where you REALLY celebrate each other.
Every moment is a gift given to you from The Uni-verse. How you love your partner today, whatever you express to them today, should be a new standard for how you celebrate them every day moving forward. You can express your love at any time. Life is not about waiting for Valentine’s Day to show your lover how much you can love, but letting Valentine’s Day be the example for how you can love every day.
No matter who or where you find yourself today, know that there is great love available to you in every moment. It could be in the person you’re next to right now, just waiting to be revealed though one single courageous act of expressing how you truly feel, or that love could be in putting yourself out there and seeing what works for you and what doesn’t.
Either way, let today be a day that you celebrate Love. Let today be a celebration of the love that you have for yourself and your ability to share that love with everyone who means something to you.
RELATIONSHIP RITUAL:
Light a candle, set your intention for self- love and compassion, and you may like to create and altar with flowers, blossoms, pine cones or berries.
We ask to call in and invite the Roman goddess Venus, and bring in the intention of beauty, charm, and magnetism, letting your natural beauty of your spirit shines through into the physical. Venus themes are love, passion, romance, sexuality, and victory, so that we can life us our hearts to having positive relationships.
RELEASE THE PAST
This exercise is used to make space for love to come into your life. Out with the old, in with the new.
Smudge your space or burn incense.
Write a list of everything you’re afraid of connected to love. This can be fear of rejection, fear of being alone, fear of self-destruction, fear of betrayal etc… Be real, be honest, cry, feel it.
Start your statements with “I release” and say them out aloud.
Release your fear onto the paper and burn the list in fire safe bowl outside in nature, and then smudge around yourself. It is done.

THE LOVE ALTAR
A love altar is a doorway and focus point for drawing love to yourself. It can be any size, shape, or form you want. This is meant to be a physical representation of what you want to manifest and everything you place onto it has power so be present and intentional.
To build the energy of the altar place your hands onto it and blessing it with words that come from your heart. Items that are placed onto the altar are meant to evoke love, partnership, connection and romance.
For example you can place two Rose Quartz hearts, two red candles, a statue of a love Goddess like Venus, Aphrodite, Oshun, or Hathor, images of hearts, a diamond (real or faux) for marriage, images of a couples you admire, a bar of chocolate, a bottle of champagne, and be intuitive, be creative, and let it flow. This is your personal creative expression of what love looks like to you and there are no wrong answers.
RITUAL BATHS
Ritual bathing is an ancient practice found in almost every culture. It is a way for you to put yourself in alignment with your goal by transforming your aura with herb, flower, and plant allies. Our aura is like a web of light that can collect energies and magnetize our desires to us. Using a love formula for instance will condition your aura to attract love.
To take a spiritual bath prepare the space by making sure everything is clean, smudge your space, create an ambiance, draw your bath and soak 25 minutes or longer. While you’re in the water meditate on your overall goal and visualize yourself happy, thriving, in love, in a healthy relationship, at peace and so on.
To magnetize your aura for love you want to use things that correspond with Venus like sweet and sexy smelling oils like jasmine, ylang ylang, red or pink rose petals, sensual herbs like damiana, rose water, lavender and spruce. You can repeat this process in a few days to active deeper levels of manifestation.
